How to make a file read only in Excel

To do it in Excel, here is the answer:

a) Click on "Info" under "File". Click on "Mark as Final" under "Protect WorkBook".

b) Click on "OK" in the pop up message indicating "This WorkBook will be marked as final and then saved." The WorkBook is now "Read-Only".
